    < apologies for cross-posting>

The Centre for Sustainable HRM and Wellbeing at the Australian Catholic University (ACU) announces a two-year, research-only, post-doc position in Organisational Behaviour (OB) at the A or B level. Please see more details about the position below. For more information, feel free to reach out to Dr. Bart de Jong (bart.dejong@acu.edu.au). Application deadline: January 7, 2018.

    About the Centre

The Centre for Sustainable HRM and Wellbeing resides within ACU's Peter Faber Business School, and is primarily based in Melbourne. The Centre was conceived in 2015 as part of ACU's research intensification strategy, and consists of leading international scholars, including Bart de Jong, Patrick Garcia, and Michael Fischer, as well as professorial fellows such as Wayne Hochwarter (Florida State U.). The Centre's atmosphere can be described as ambitious, entrepreneurial, informal, and collegial. The Centre has a strong focus on high-quality research and has published (and continues to regularly publish) its work in A*/top-tier journals, such as Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Management, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organization Science, Leadership Quarterly, Human Relations, and Organisation Studies (see selected publications below).

    About the position

The post-doc position is a two-year, research-only, A/B level position, with a strong focus on contributing to the Centre's research and publication track record, under the supervision of / in collaboration with the Centre members (primarily Bart de Jong). The starting date is flexible, but starting in March 2018 would be ideal from the Centre's perspective. The remuneration is negotiable but consistent with that for A/B-level appointments at ACU, ranging between 77-134K AUD a year, including a 65-114K salary component. Although ACU is a Catholic university, it welcomes candidates from all religious and non-religious backgrounds. A solid background in quantitative research methods and training in OB are essential. Experience with conducting meta-analyses is desirable and a substantive background in the areas of Teams research or Organisational Trust research would be advantageous. Applicants need to have a demonstrated ability to achieve (for level A) or a significant track record of (for level B) peer-reviewed, high-quality research outputs in the OB/HRM research arena, as evidenced by A and A* publications (see http://www.abdc.edu.au/pages/abdc-journal-quality-list-2013.html).

    About Melbourne

Melbourne is located in Australia's 'educational state' Victoria and hosts as many as 9 different universities (e.g., University of Melbourne, Melbourne Business School, Monash University), creating a unique academic climate. It was again named 'most liveable city in the world' this year, and is characterised by a vibrant CBD, great beaches, and national parks and wineries at close proximity, and skiing opportunities only a 2.5 hours drive away. ACU's Melbourne campus is uniquely located, near Brunswick St. (populated by coffee bars and vintage shops) and overlooking Fitzroy Gardens, and is easily accessible via the city loop train.
