The position will commence July 1, 2015, subject to final budgetary approval.

Applicants will possess or be near completion (with a defense date set) of a PhD in Human Resources Management, Organizational Behaviour, or a closely related field. The successful candidate will have the ability to contribute to both our AACSB-accredited undergraduate (BComm) and graduate (MBA/MMSc) programs. Candidates should demonstrate outstanding research potential (e.g., evidence of an emerging scholarly record, ability to establish and maintain an independent, externally funded research program), evidence of high-quality teaching and student training at the graduate and undergraduate level, and a capacity for collaboration and collegial service.

Ryerson University is known for innovative programs built on the integration of theoretical and practically-oriented learning. More than 100 undergraduate and graduate programs are distinguished by a professionally focused curriculum and strong emphasis on excellence in teaching, research and creative activities. Applicants are asked to apply online at https://hr.cf.ryerson.ca/ams/faculty by submitting a letter of application outlining research and teaching interests, a curriculum vitae, two recent writing samples, results of teaching evaluations (or equivalent evidence such as a teaching dossier) and the names and contact information for three individuals who may be contacted for references. Please indicate in your application if you are a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada. The review of applications will begin December 1st, 2014 and will continue until the position is filled.

Please note that applications sent by mail or by fax will not be accepted. Confidential inquiries can be directed to Robin Church (robin.church@ryerson.ca) Chair, Department Hiring Committee (DHC). All applicants will receive an email confirming receipt of application, but only those candidates selected for the short-list of consideration will be contacted for interviews.
