2018 CM Division Professional Development Workshops Call for Proposals

Do you have an idea for an engaging, involving workshop at AOM next year? Is there a topic you wish were given more attention in our field?

The Conflict Management Division is soliciting proposals for Professional Development Workshops (PDWs) at the 2018 Academy of Management meetings in Chicago, IL. PDWs offer opportunities to explore cutting edge ideas, share expertise and best practices, and to engage in stimulating discussions. They can concern substantive issues, focus on "state of the art" research or teaching, or involve professional development or practical applications relevant to CM members. They can also take a variety of forms including roundtables, town hall meetings, and debates. Regardless of format, workshops should be interactive and interesting to CM members and have some broad appeal to multiple divisions.

The theme for the conference is "Improving Lives." Proposals reflecting this theme are particularly welcome, but you should not be limited by this theme. Workshops will be scheduled between 8:00AM and 8:00PM on Friday, August 10 and Saturday, August 11. The submission website is located here.

    Critical dates:

Tuesday, November 28, 2017 - Submission website opens

Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 5pm ET (NY Time)- Deadline for submission

If you have any questions or wish to discuss your ideas before submitting, please contact Jen Overbeck, PDW Chair at CMD.jen@gmail.com. We encourage early submissions!
