I am undertaking a book project focused on the 100 "key" business and management topics, issues, or debates that any undergraduate business major should master for effectiveness in the 21st century.  What conflict management issues starkly should be included? It would be helpful if you provide associated recommended citations that have breakthrough insight into the issues.  Thanks for your collegial help!

The ability to predict the decisions people will make in conflict situations should be helpful to protagonists and others with something at stake. Scott Armstrong from Wharton and I have an ongoing program of research to find out what methods work best. If you are not familiar with our research, I predict you will be surprised by our findings. Conventional and much-touted approaches turn out to be little better than chance-the problems are difficult ones. Fortunately, two methods we have developed offer dramatic gains in accuracy and one of these in particular provides a framework for testing alternative strategies. It is early days for the adoption of the new methods and this presents great opportunities. Our papers on the topic are available in full text under Papers at conflictforecasting.com.
