    Dear Colleague:
     
    The University of Michigan's Ross School of Business is hiring in the Management and Organizations Department for Fall 2008.  We are especially interested in two new Ph.D.s (no more than two years out), one in the domain of teams/groups and the other in the domain of global management/international.  These positions will be filled with faculty at the assistant professor rank (tenure track).  Please see details in the attachments.

    Assistant Professor in Management and Organizations

     

    University of Michigan Ross School of Business

     

    DUTIES:  Teaching in the graduate and/or undergraduate level.  May require teaching in the evening or executive education programs.  Research and publications and collaboration with doctoral students.  Active participation in the Management and Organizations Department.

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Earned doctorate.  Evidence of strong research and teaching potential must be demonstrated.  Candidates must have the ability and motivation to undertake a rigorous program of research and engage in innovative teaching on a team and individual basis, develop and teach management and executive education programs.  Special interest in faculty who could teach MBA electives on teams/groups or global management/international.

     

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Possession of MBA preferred, but not required.  Ph.D. conferred in 2006, 2007, or 2008.  Preparation and research in one or more of the following areas:  organizational behavior, organizational theory or human resource management.
