    Apologies for Cross-Listings

The David Eccles School of Business of the University of Utah
(www.business.utah.edu) seeks to fill a tenure-track faculty position at
the assistant professor level in organizational behavior. Candidates
should hold a Ph.D. in organizational behavior or a related field, or
show evidence that they will be awarded their doctorates by August 1,
2009. Filling this position is subject to University funding and
    approval.

This position will require high levels of scholarship, teaching, and
collegiality. The successful candidate will show promise for teaching
and research excellence. The University of Utah values candidates who
have experience working in settings with students from diverse
backgrounds, and who possess a demonstrated commitment to improving
access to higher education for historically underrepresented students.

The organizational behavior group includes Bryan Bonner, Arthur Brief,
Kristina Diekmann, Gerardo Okhuysen, Kristin Smith-Crowe, Harris Sondak,
and Markus Vodosek. The David Eccles School of Business offers degree
programs at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels and
teaching opportunities are available at all three levels. The School's
faculty is well-recognized for its research and scholarship, ranking
28th in the world in research in the most recent Financial Times
Executive MBA Rankings. Adjacent to the campus is Research Park, home to
more than 30 technology-oriented businesses with close research and
operational ties to the University. The University of Utah is located in
Salt Lake City, which is known as a hotbed for technology-oriented
business startups that provide great opportunities for student learning
    and research.

Salt Lake City sits at the foot of the Wasatch Mountains. It was the
site of the 2002 Winter Olympics and offers excellent opportunities for
outdoor recreation, including easy access to the Rocky Mountains, the
red rock country of the Colorado Plateau, and eight national parks
including Grand Canyon and Yellowstone National Parks. Salt Lake City is
the center of a metropolitan area with a population of approximately one
million residents and has extensive arts and cultural activities and a
    major international airport.

Interested individuals should send (1) a letter indicating interest, (2)
a complete CV, (3) a research program statement, (4) writing samples,
