We are very pleased to announce that the CMD Social this year will be held at the Dashiell House, 511 Villita Street, San Antonio.
Situated in the La Villita historic district, this two-story limestone house was built for Major Jeremiah Dashiell circa 1850.
The flagstone River Plaza affords a fabulous view of riverwalk activities; to the right barges cruise into view under the Hilton bridge; the stage of the outdoor Arneson River Theater and the much-photographed Rosita's Bridge can be seen from the left. There is no other setting like the River Plaza of the Dashiell House for private outdoor events of the river.
There will be a cold station, butler-passed appetizers, as well as several very nice hot dishes. There will also be an open bar, with CMD buying the first drink for everyone.
Prices are $30/person including one drink ($25/person for a non-alcoholic option), with a discount to $20/person for students. RSVP's are essential for this limited capacity event; please do so by contacting Barry Goldman by July 1, 2011, at bgoldman@eller.arizona.edu. Please be sure to put "CMD Social" in the Subject line. Payment will be taken at the door.
