The Retailing and Consumer Sciences (RCSC) Division of the John and Doris Norton
School of Family and Consumer Sciences at The University of Arizona invites
applications for Associate or Full Professor in the divisions new Consumers,
Environment and Sustainability Initiative (CESI). This position is part of a
new university-wide hiring initiative in environmental science and policy. The
CESI facilitates innovative research, teaching and outreach activities focused
on (1) consumer rituals, attitudes and behavior associated with the consumption
of water, energy and food, and 2) consumers sense of social responsibility as
it relates to the sustainability of these resources. With the appointment is
the opportunity to be named the PetSmart Distinguished Professor (a 5-year
appointment, renewable). Must have demonstrated ability to attract external
research funding and to interact effectively with corporate partners in
developing research projects.
