CONFLICT MANAGEMENT (CM)
2012 CM Division Professional Development Workshops: Call for Proposals
The Conflict Management Division is soliciting proposals for professional development workshops (PDWs) at the 2012 Academy of Management meetings, August 3-7, Boston, Massachusetts. Workshops are an opportunity to be innovative, explore cutting edge ideas, share expertise and best practices, and engage in stimulating discussions. They can take a variety of forms: roundtables, workshops, town hall meetings, and debates, just to name a few. They can revolve around substantive issues or "state of the art" workshops on research, teaching, or practice relating to conflict. Workshops should be interactive and interesting to CM members but also have some broad appeal to multiple divisions. The theme for the conference is "The Informal Economy". For a complete description of the conference theme go to http://annualmeeting.aomonline.org/2012/ Proposals reflecting this theme are particularly welcome. Workshops will be scheduled between 8:00AM and 8:00PM on Friday, August 3 and Saturday, August 4. The submission website opens November 2, 2011 http://submissions.aomonline.org/2012 and the deadline for submission of proposals is Tuesday January 10, 2012 at 5 pm EST (New York Time). If you have any questions, or wish to discuss your ideas before submitting, please feel free to contact Michael Gross, PDW Chair, by December 13th. We encourage early submissions.
