Dear Colleagues:
The Conflict Management Division needs your help! Vancouver is just around the corner and we have 2 activities that are in need of immediate short term volunteer roles at the meeting:
1. We need (5) onsite Adopt-a-Member Mentors to assist enthusiastic new members that have signed up for an onsite mentor to help with their agenda planning and simply looking to make their first connection with a member of their scholarly home. It's a small commitment of time that goes a long way in nurturing our newest members!
Let's not disappoint our mentees, sign up today so we can assign mentors by July 15th!
2. There are (24) open 2-hour time slots over the course of 3 days that need to be filled for the new collaborative, open access space called the QUAD, as well as for the Friday night New Member Orientation. Both are located in the Exhibit Hall where we expect a lot of traffic. Please come forward and consider staffing our table with a warm handshake, welcoming smile, and help us promote our activities. Another small commitment of time that gives us a great opportunity to add to our ranks. Let's not have an empty table, sign up now!
As a bonus, if you're in town Thursday and have no plans for the evening, consider joining other colleagues at the informal, come as you are New Member Welcome Reception. It's a social event with drinks and refreshments that's meant to be simply welcoming for our newest attendees. All you need to do is extend a handshake and introduce yourself! You'll also be able to get your badge and conference materials right so you can hit the ground running on Friday morning! There is an RSVP required so we can have your materials ready! Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing all of you in Vancouver!
