    Position Announcement

    Benedictine College seeks an energetic business faculty member (rank open)
    to join nine colleagues in a growing Department of Business beginning in
    Fall 2007. the department is seeking dynamic leadership to implement its
    vision of excellence throughout the undergraduate program and put the
    department on the map. A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
    with both internal and external constituencies is expected. the ideal
    candidate will possess an earned doctorate (ABD considered and MBA
    desirable) in any business discipline with Accounting, Finance and
    International Business as areas of need; demonstrated excellence in and
    enthusiasm for undergraduate teaching; and a commitment to Catholic and
    liberal arts education traditions. Teaching responsibilities will be
    primarily in the undergraduate area with opportunity for occasional graduate
    teaching. Administrative leadership is possible for the right person.
    Preference will be given to individuals with teaching, consulting, and
    business experience, and who have demonstrated interest in the integration
    of business disciplines and utilization of alternative learning styles, such
    as collaborative learning and distance education.
