Management Department
University of Central Florida
The Management Department at the University of Central Florida is seeking applicants for an open rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full) position in OB/HR. This will be a full-time, tenure track appointment to begin Fall 2014. Candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, or a closely related discipline. Salary, teaching load and research support are commensurate with other major research institutions.
We seek candidates demonstrating excellence in scholarship with the expectation that the individual will publish in the most respected journals in Organizational Behavior and related disciplines. We are not committed to any particular area of research, theory or methodological approach, but are open to applications from any scholar asking interesting and important research questions within the field of Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management. In terms of teaching, we seek candidates who have strong teaching skills at various student levels (e.g., undergraduate, MBA, doctoral). Teaching responsibilities will focus on Human Resource Management courses.
The Management Department at UCF includes the areas of Organizational Behavior, Strategy, and Entrepreneurship. Current faculty members include Maureen Ambrose, Mike Ciuchta, Craig Crossley, Rob Folger, Cameron Ford, Carol Saunders, Shannon Taylor, and Marshall Schminke, reflecting strong scholarship across a broad array of research domains. Our group includes two former associate editors of the Academy of Management Journal, a current associate editor of Journal of Management, a former editor of Academy of Management Executive, a former associate editor of Business Ethics Quarterly, and Fellows of both SIOP and the Academy of Management.
