    Good Morning,

I hope this finds you well. I am just getting in touch to let you know about a journal that Greenleaf have recently launched - Business, Peace and Sustainable Development (BPSD), which can be found at: www.greenleaf-publishing.com/bpsd. The journal aims to understand the role of the business sector in enhancing peace and reducing violence, and contributing to sustainable development. It is also aimed at understanding the importance of peace to the economy and markets. While some research has been published on business and peace and peace through commerce, BPSD is the first journal dedicated to mutual contribution of business and peace. Corporate Peace is an umbrella concept that contains business, social and strategic dimensions and is defined as the incorporation of peace and reduction of violence into a company's strategy, decision-making and the value chain in order to raise awareness to peace, support and enhance it.

BPSD is seeking case studies of companies that demonstrate Corporate Peace through their incorporation of peace and sustainable development into business. Cases can detail the related benefits and challenges so other companies can learn from the lessons of the case and, most importantly, can inspire other companies to develop Corporate Peace and provide them with best/inspirational practices to allow them to do so.

    Method
Cases should include qualitative data based on methods such as interviews and document analysis. They can also include quantitative data if applicable. A good case study is simply a good story - engaging, interesting to read and providing a learning opportunity for readers.
    Cases will need to include:
    1. Executive summary
    2. Background on the described corporation (e.g. history, industry, size, international activities, management, employees and other relevant aspects)
    3. Activities of the company before addressing peace (e.g. work with the community, corporate social responsibility, creating shared value)
    4. Determents (e.g. what made the company interested in peace, motivators, related factors, impact of conflicts)
    5. The company's Corporate Peace activities that were aimed to enhance peace and reduce violence
    6. Tools that the company developed to enhance peace and reduce violence
    7. Benefits for the company, the economy and the community
    8. Challenges faced and how they were addressed 9. Lessons learned about Corporate Peace and thoughts for the future.

BPSD will be receiving wide promotion, and so offers contributors an opportunity to promote their work, share best practice and network with other key professionals in the field. If you would like to be involved in the launch of this exciting new journal by providing an example of business and peace practice, you can contact me at the following address: bpsd@greenleaf-publishing.com. To discuss specific proposals and case studies, please contact the Editor, Debbie Haski-Leventhal on: debbie.haski-leventhal@mgsm.edu.au. If you have any questions or would like further information, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

    Best wishes,
