    Hello CMD members.

I look forward to seeing you in San Antonio at our upcoming and always worthwhile Conflict Management Division sponsored PDWs, paper and symposium panels, social, and business meeting!

Here is some information about recent happenings in our division. From fall 2010 to spring 2011, our division engaged in a 5-year review. As your CMD executive committee, we surveyed division members, analyzed your feedback, and submitted a comprehensive report to the Academy of Management Review Board. We recently received their response.

Myrtle Bell, Chair of the Division and Interest Group Relations (DIGR) Committee sent a congratulatory email for an outstanding report and confirmed the renewal of our division for another 5 years. Thanks to all for this important accomplishment! She also encouraged us to share both our report and their response with the entire division

These reports are now posted at our website: http://division.aomonline.org/cm/. They are listed 1st and 2nd under "CURRENT ITEMS OF INTEREST."  We encourage everyone to read both documents and especially note the proposed revisions/updates to our by-laws included in the 5-year report Appendix. We will vote on whether or not to accept the suggested by-law revisions and discuss key findings/recommendations at our business meeting August 14th in San Antonio.

Thanks again for everyone who participated in our 5 year review process and those contributing to this year's Academy of Management events.

Best wishes and see you soon.
    Deanna
