    Posted 10-27-2017 18:16

Please join us at the 2018 SEE -- Sustainability, Ethics & Entrepreneurship Conference!  Attached is a flier with important deadlines and dates.

Many of you already know the SEE, but still here are some additional reasons to join the conversation:

    1) The 2018 SEE features scholarly and applied research, for example:

    a) PETA will hold a symposium on the phasing out of animals from clothing, food and research.

    b) Galaxy Diagnostics will hold a symposium about how the FDA is undermining life-saving innovations in the medical industry..

    c) The Impact Finance Center will hold a symposium about new and less familiar financing options revolutionize social enterprises around the country (e.g., SilverNest).

    d) Wal-Mart and the Sustainability Consortium (University of Arkansas' Walton College of Business) plan to hold a symposium about logistics impact on the environment and society.

    e) The National Association of Cannabis Businesses (NACB) will hold a symposium about the business and ethical challenges they are facing.

    2) Impact: The SEE is not only the fastest growing, but also the biggest conference in this space.  Hence, attendees get to interact with more diverse scholars, from different schools, disciplines & countries.  Yes, almost 30% of the SEE attendees are international scholars and practitioners and SEE papers are often published in high-quality journals -- e.g., JMS, SEJ, JBV, etc.

    3) Keynotes Speakers: Ed Freeman and Andy Hoffman are remarkable scholars and thought-provoking speakers, so interacting with them is surely going to be a memorable experience.

    4) Developmental: SEE sessions are highly interactive, and with an average of 30-40 attendees/session, presenters receive substantive, thoughtful feedback.

    5) Ease: The entire conference is held in a hotel venue, which facilitates serendipitous interactions, private meetings, and network opportunities.

    6) Location-Location-Location: DC boasts 11 of the 19 Smithsonian Museums, including the National Air and Space Museum, Museum of National History, National Museum of American History and so many more.  The best thing about them? Admission is FREE!  You and your family can also visit Georgetown, the JFK sites, National Archives, etc.  In fact, nowhere is riddled with espionage quite as much as Washington DC – and the International Spy Museum revels in it. The museum also puts its name to tours of the city's key spying sites – including the infamous Watergate Building and the former Soviet Embassy. Featuring video "briefings" from former intelligence officers, the tours are packed with intriguing Cold War tales and anecdotes.

    7) Consortium:  The Junior Faculty & Doctoral Consortium (JFDC) features a favorable ratio of senior scholars to participants.  Journal editors (e.g., JMS, AMP, SEJ, ET&P) will facilitate the JFDC with paper development sessions, and other workshops.
