    Dear CM Members,

We're thrilled to share that the CM Division's 3-year review and strategic plan has been reviewed and approved by AOM. As you know, all Divisions go through this process every 3 years, and it truly takes a village: thank you to all those who participated in focus groups with us late last year and early this year, responded to the member survey, or otherwise offered us thoughts and feedback. The CM Division Executive Board used your input, past reviews, and membership and other data from AOM to craft the attached review report. In their feedback, the AOM Division and Interest Group Relations (DIGR) Committee noted our "high level of energy, commitment, and scholarly rigor, supported by a deeply engaged membership and strong governance foundation. The culture of mentorship, multidisciplinary reach, and dedication to high quality programming position it to advance the Academy's mission and strengthen its broader impact across the field of management scholarship."

At the same time, we and the DIGR Committee identified areas we'd like to work on: ensuring long-term financial sustainability, working to more clearly align our goals and metrics so that we can better track how we're doing, particularly as we look to deepen our positive impact beyond the Division, and more intentionally leveraging our volunteer capacity (thanks to those who have signed up to be a volunteer-we look forward to our kickoff meeting soon!).

So, as I like to say, there's no rest for the wicked-we have a lot to do! But I'm excited for what's to come and look forward to working with you all as we kick-ourselves-in-the-pants to get going on all of the goals and action items in the attached.

Check out our swanky new website: https://cm.aom.org (yes, we know the CM logo is low-res; this is across a number of DIGs and AOM is working to address it-but the new website is still pretty swanky nonetheless!). Reach out if you'd like to volunteer (see the tile to "Get Involved" once you log into the website).

And plan to join us for two key events at AOM if you'll be there:

    • CM Awards Ceremony, 5-6pm, Convention Center 202A. We'll review more about CM's finances, membership, and other points from the review, recognize both our outgoing and incoming board members, and perhaps the best part-give out awards!
    • CM Division Social, 6:30-9pm at McGillin's Pub, the oldest pub in Philly. We'll walk over together from the Awards Ceremony.
    • And of course, please check out the AOM program for all the other great CM PDWs, sessions, and events.

As always, reach out any time, for any reason. We are a small but mighty Division, and we are here for you. We'll help you get there, wherever your "there" may be.

    Best,

    Laura Rees
